For operators
Run taxis, hire cars or boat trips?
List your business on TransportHub and take booking requests from residents and visitors, before they land and on the day. Listing is free, and so is taking bookings during the trial.
How it works
1. Apply
In the app, Account → Join as an operator. Tell us what you run (taxis, vehicle hire or boat trips), your business name, the email and phone for bookings, and your licence number.
2. We check it
We review every application before it goes public. While you wait, you can add your drivers, vehicles or trips.
3. Take requests
Booking requests arrive by email and in your operator portal. You confirm or decline each one, with a reason the customer sees.
What customers see
- Your business name, what you offer and your availability
- For taxis, your drivers and vehicles; for hire, your vehicles; for boats, your trips
- The status of their booking, and your reason if you decline or cancel it
What you see
- Only bookings made with your business
- The customer's name, contact details and what they asked for
- For a Flight Day ride, each rider's pickup point: riders in the same car never see each other
Looking after customers' details
On a small island, a name, a pickup point and a flight date say a lot: together they can tell someone when a house will be empty. As an operator you agree to:
- use customers' details only to provide the booking
- keep run sheets and booking emails to yourself and your staff, and not share or post them
- tell us straight away when someone who could see your bookings leaves your business
- keep your listing accurate, and your licences in date
Customers' personal details are removed from bookings 12 months after the trip. See the privacy notice and the terms of use.
