About these terms
TransportHub St Helena (the app, this website and the boards) is run by NexTech St. Helena Ltd, St Helena ("NexTech", "we"). By using TransportHub you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Our privacy notice explains what we do with your information.
What TransportHub is
TransportHub brings together information about getting around St Helena (bus timetables, road and flight notices, weather, help numbers) and lets you send booking requests to taxi, vehicle hire and boat operators and for shared airport rides. From Sunday 1 November 2026 it is open to everyone as a public trial: features may change as we learn what works.
The information it shows
- Bus times come from St Helena Government's published timetables, moved by any road closure SHG has announced. Buses can run early or late. The driver and the Public Transport Service have the final word.
- Road, flight and port notices come from SHG's own posts. A notice marked "new from SHG, not yet reviewed" has had its dates and hours read automatically: check the notice itself.
- Flight status (delayed, diverted, cancelled) is updated by the TransportHub team; anything else shows as on schedule. The airline and the airport have the final word. Weather is a forecast from MET Norway and Open-Meteo.
- Information can be out of date, especially when your phone has no signal; the app says how old it is.
TransportHub is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 999.
Booking with an operator
- When you book, TransportHub sends your request to the operator. The booking is between you and the operator, once they confirm it. They provide the ride, hire or trip, at their price and on their terms, and are responsible for it.
- NexTech is not a taxi, hire or boat operator, and does not employ the operators' drivers or crews.
- An operator may decline or cancel a request, and gives a reason you can see. You can cancel in the app.
- A Flight Day shared ride puts people on the same flight in one car, going the same way. Your driver sees your pickup; the others in the car don't see you.
- Boat trips follow St Helena Government's rules for passenger boats. The operator may change or cancel a trip for the weather or the sea.
- Please give accurate details, and be there on time. Repeated bookings that aren't used may lead to us closing your account.
Your account
- You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to your email account safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- You can download your data and delete your account at any time, in the app.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why, unless the law or safety means we can't.
Using TransportHub fairly
Please don't:
- make false bookings, or harass or abuse operators, drivers or other travellers;
- try to get into accounts, data or parts of the service that aren't yours, or to disrupt it;
- copy TransportHub's content in bulk by automated means, or put it on another service as your own;
- use it for anything unlawful.
Found a security problem? Thank you: please tell us as our security page explains. Research done in good faith under that page isn't a breach of these terms.
For operators
If you list a business, you also agree to keep your listing, prices and availability accurate; to hold and keep in date the licences your service needs; to use customers' details only to provide their booking, and to keep run sheets and booking emails to yourself and your staff; and to tell us straight away when someone who could see your bookings leaves. NexTech reviews every application, and may remove a listing that breaks these terms. More on the operators page.
Alerts
Flight and road alerts are sent as soon as we can, through your phone's alert service, which we don't control. They may arrive late or not at all. Don't rely on an alert alone for anything important; check the app, and the official notice.
Keeping it running
We work to keep TransportHub available and correct, but can't promise it will always be: the island's connection, our suppliers and changes we make can all interrupt it. We may change, pause or stop features, and will tell you in the app when a change affects you.
Our responsibility
- We take reasonable care over TransportHub. We are not responsible for the operators' services, for St Helena Government's timetables and notices, or for losses caused by delays, cancellations or information that turns out to be wrong, as far as the law allows.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
- If you use TransportHub as a business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, business or opportunity.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and will change the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell people with accounts in the app before it applies. Using TransportHub after that means you accept the new terms.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of St Helena. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights the law where you live gives you.
